The Apprentice – Weeks 1-3
I love The Apprentice – the beautiful combination of massive egos, sales experience (however they dress it up) and Nick/Margaret’s withering looks is TV magic.
What I find most amusing however is the premiss that these people are the cream of business prospects in this country. Lets have a look at the rejects so far:
Majid Nagra – Sacked Week Three

Business Genius
“Without companies buying and selling there wouldn’t be any economy.”
Holy shit – I had to sit down after reading that mind blowing fact-nugget. No wonder you got sacked mate, Alan Sugar doesn’t need someone to just wander round stating the obvious all day long.
Rocky Andrews -Sacked Week Two

Rocky? Come on...
Poor young schmo ‘Rocky’ said you need to be ‘willing to make mistakes’. Commandant Sugar disagreed.
Anita Shah – Sacked Week One

Anita 'Impactful Statement' Shah
Anita radically claims that most lawyers can’t make statements or deal with questions – not sure which courts she’s been frequenting. Possibly Judge Judy’s. Sadly looking miserable and just doing what she was told saw Big Al boot her out the door in week one.
Business Cock of the Week
I’ve decided to instigate a Harry Hill style award for the candidates this year; Business Cock of the Week. This week I think it has to go Ben Clarke (though it was close run as James McQuillan seems to be revealing himself as a large contender as well – maybe a seperate Bullet Dodger award could be created if he stays in) :

Ben Clarke - Business Cock of the Week
He designed a box, he things he’s the best looking man, he runs like a man from a silent film circa 1940. Ben Clarke, we salute you sir!
So Who Will Win?
So which of the bright you ‘prospects’ do you think will make it? If I was Alan Sugar I think I’d be weeping behind those giant boardroom doors – he’s actually going to get stuck with one of them!
Good Post. Followed you from Thehodge’s blog. Keep it up
