Just a quick one to tell you about a change for me. It’s with both sadness and great excitement I can now tell you about my pending move from Leeds to pastures new.

I’ve decided to leave my current position here to take a new Job @ Gravytrain working with LeedsSEO favourite Hannah_bo_banna , in Hampton Hill, SW London. I’m obviously really excited about my new role, where I’ll be looking after Gravytrain’s SEO clients.

Although up until recently I was quite settled in the North, having lived here all my life, I decided it was time for a change – my personal circumstances have changed a fair bit recently and most of my family now live down south. I’m moving to a nice flat in Twickenham in a couple of weeks, which, given I currently live in Barnsley, is likely to be a little bit different

There’s nothing really wrong with my current Job, I just fancied moving somewhere busier and working agency side again. Obviously working for somebody as cool as Hannah was a major pull too!

I don’t know many people in the South West London (or London overall) yet, so if you live around there feel free to drop me a line on twitter.

I’ll still be blogging for LeedsSEO (yes yes I know, I’ve been quiet recently, but worry not – I have several killer posts in progress), and hopefully still making the occasional event up here too.

So congratulations to our very own Sarah Goodwin (aka @Yoshimi_S) who is now officially an SEO Chick – woop woop!

Although the competition was anonymous, it was hard to not notice Sarah’s awesome blogging style in her winning post, ironically about trying to blog anonymously. Maybe you should be taking some of your own advice Sarah!

To all LeedsSEO fans, don’t worry, we have Sarah’s word that she won’t be deserting us – we won’t let her go!

Acid tongued and alluring, I met Yoshimi whilst hiding in the shadows of the SEOmoz community and occasionally offering a fairly safe comment on other people’s posts (much as I do now). After becoming embroiled in several interesting/heated comment debates with Yoshimi she revealed that she was coming to Leeds and now here she is!

(p.s. she has also proved herself fully motivated by beating me to posting – good work!)

Matt Oxley

Matt and I crossed paths at a pitch just after I ‘officially’ joined the internet marketing crew at Bloom (they didn’t choose us though, the *$@#~s. Ah well, you can’t win ‘em all. Matt’s got experience across the board in paid and unpaid search, as well on the client side. I’m sure he will be sharing his wealth of knowledge with you any time… now.

If you don’t know Dom you should – I’ll let the man speak for himself but needless to say he is a pioneer of the Leeds search industry, dedicated to grassroots internet marketing in all it’s forms and tireless promoter of social activity. Kristal is one of my Philosophy compatriots and long time companions in the ever rolling sea of digital media. After putting in a good word for me at Bloom many a year ago she has also tasted both agency and client side work, before coming back to the light and landing a job at Leeds based Outside The Box. She has an unhealthy love of cats and an uncontrollable urge to buy things from Asos. And also knows a fair bit about marketing.

Renowned startup SEO based in and around Harrogate, I’ve had the immense pleasure of working with Mr Holmes for several months. After sampling the delights of  SEO in an agency he decided to venture out alone and can currently be found in the Harrogate town limits (not always wearing moustaches on his eyebrows).

Stephen Tallamy

So those of you who visit here regular like will know that Stephen is not a new author, however he deserves recognition as the first contributor and rapidly after joint admin of this glorious blog. Without Stephen this whole place would look like a child’s drawing of the internet and read about the same. I salute you sir!

I ran through a host of ideas, some clever, some insightful and some more suitable for the Leeds SEO blog. The truth is though it’s going to be at least a few more days before my brain gets out of “Oh my god I have to move house from Leicester to Leeds, there is so much to do” mode, and until that happens I am almost useless. So in the mean time I thought I best pop in and say hello, and promise to try and post something more useful in the next few days.

I’ll also be doing a review of the Northern SEO meet up next Friday night as it will be my first, so if you have been thinking of coming along, please do so I can say hello to everyone, and if you’re wondering what happens when a bunch of northerners get together I’ll have some useful insights for you next week.
